The WS7203A – A Customizable Derivative of Xilinx’s VC7203

The Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA WS7203A is a high-performance connectivity and characterization platform optimized for evaluating and testing high-speed transceivers. As a derivative of the AMD Virtex™ 7 FPGA VC7203 Characterization Kit, the WS7203A supports the XC7VX690T FPGA and is designed for applications that demand extensive transceiver evaluation and signal integrity testing.

With 28 GTX transceivers capable of 12.5Gbps, integrated Bit Error Ratio Test (IBERT) demonstration compatibility, and industry-standard Samtec BullsEye connectors, this platform provides an ideal hardware environment for transceiver characterization. It supports evaluation using both Vivado™ and ISE™ design suites, ensuring flexibility for developers working on custom applications.
